A fair review – pros and cons

Charming antique hotel with character and friendly staff. The location is perfect, just a short walk to the hot springs.

Notable noise from nearby trains and limited access to first aid supplies. Some outdated fixtures make it less comfortable.

The atmosphere was delightful, especially next to the

river on the patio. We truly enjoyed our dinner, and the private hot tubs were a great touch for relaxation. However, the breakfast options had some inconsistencies. not everyone seemed pleased with their meals.

    family activities

We loved the historic charm of the hotel, and the private hot tubs were a hit with us and our grandchild. The location was perfect for exploring the town and right next to the river. Breakfast was delicious, especially the quiche!

In my wife’s opinion, more family activities would be great.

I was charmed by the hotel's historic decor, especially the inviting common areas that offer a comfortable space for relaxation. The accessible layout made it easy for me to navigate and enjoy all the amenities without hassle.

A small elevator would be beneficial for seniors.

    hot spring baths
    historic architecture
    local cuisine
    crowded space

The unique hot spring baths here offer a solid relaxation experience, both indoors and outdoors, with water that feels like liquid gold on the skin. The vintage vibe of the building, dating back to 1914 with a nod to history, adds lots of character, and the onsite restaurant serves local cuisine that's worth sticking around for.

Also, if you’re bringing more than a couple of bags, prepare to navigate tight spaces since the rooms can feel a bit crowded with your stuff. The lack of a hairdryer in the room was a letdown, making me wish for a few more common conveniences.

    private hot spring tub
    frustrating tv experience

    Spa bliss with quirky quirks

After a long day exploring, the private hot spring tub was pure magic. The breakfast menu was a delightful challenge with scrumptious options, especially the cinnamon rolls!

However, I was quite frustrated with the TV. It never worked, and instead of assistance, the staff suggested I should have asked for help. I expected better support.
